What happens if a sitter cancels a sit? And where on the trusted housesitters site do they have such information? Thanks in advance for any input you might have.

What is the process of cancelling by either the HO or the sitter? Is there a form to complete or do both of you simply message one another?

Hi @Turtle if the sit is a confirmed sit and both parties agree to cancel then the owner can unconfirm the sitter and the sit will be removed from the sitters dashboard … this article from our help page explains the process …

Hi there, I have a situation where a current sitter is in my home looking after my cat and one day in has canceled. After much correspondence, Zoom chats and visitation prior to the actual date of sitting.
How do I unconfirm her?
The site is not allowing me to change dates or unconfirm the sitter?
Please help as we are away and need to find another sitter.

hahaha good to read this.
After a very honest thorough application of my circumstances (and family ) and confirmation from the HO, I have now had them cancel on me as he doesn’t think the dog would get along with my youngest. Now he tells me lol! A bit of a waste of time applying and communication with them lol

@Lizindesun yes a sit can be cancelled if both parties agree per Your Member Code of Conduct | TrustedHousesitters.com.
