If there is a sitter we hit it off with, we always invite them back as friends (and some have taken us up on that, finding a safe landing spot in between other sits) but obviously if we are home these are just visits. Once it turned out we were going to have sitters back for a visit but we had to travel on short notice. It worked out to have them still stay at our home and sit for our pets but at that point we all knew each other and never bothered with the platform. So kind of a repeat sit, just off the platform.

I do a lot of repeat sits. As someone else mentioned, it’s a bit like going home. I sat for a first-time host who asked me back, and as much as I enjoyed my stay, I thought she would be better off if she became comfortable utilizing the site to secure one or two more sitters before engaging a repeat sitter.

We have 5 regulars we go to at least once a year. A couple of them more frequently. We feel at home, it’s easier knowing the pets, houses & area and really enjoy each visit. We have become good friends and one in particular comes to stay with us for weekend breaks. They have to have another sitter then 
we still do sits in new places and enjoy all experiences.

There’s a couple of sits I’m very happy to repeat. Both have wonderful HOs and pets. Additionally, one is a perfect location for visiting my family, and the other is fairly local but essentially my lottery win dream home

I have only accepted 2 repeat visits, because they worked out for place and date. I would accept repeat sits for a few places, not many. Just because many were for location and dates. Like current sit that ends today. I needed to be in Detroit area for dental appointments. Place worked but I don’t want to come back here. I feel that way about many of my sits. Maybe if I did a sit in Costa Rica on the ocean, I would love to go back. There was a great FL sit I did that I would go back. And now that I am looking at routes going back from my winter in California, I would do a repeat sit in Austin.

We’re about to have a repeat sitter back for the fourth time. They are basically now sitting full time around Europe so having an opportunity to come back to our city occasionally is a plus for them. Our dog also adores them and we already have high trust built. It’s a no-brainer really.
While we don’t struggle to find new HS, we’re always open to repeats with sitters we loved and are happy to extend the offer, especially if they have expressed interest in coming back. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
