It’s not new. It’s just a category that is not used very often.
The first time I saw it I thought it was used as feedback by THS to implement changes demanded by forum members but seeing how they make changes no one asked for and ignore members opinions I now think it doesn’t serve any purpose.
Also, moderators, especially @Jenny, pass the issues discuss in the forum, regardless of the category, to the relevant team. So I honestly think these votes, which are very rarely used, don’t make any difference.
I would like to see @moderators explanation.
I’ve been in this Forum 3 years now, it’s my first time coming across this….
Not new, we used to vote on ideas to improve THS, but that never went anywhere. It should probably be turned off since it’s not being used as intended.

As others have mentioned (thanks, @BunnyCat and @Newpetlover), the button previously had a function on the Forum, but over the last few years, we changed how feedback is collected and passed along by the Forum team.
Although we’re not actively using the feature to collect data, you’re welcome to use it as a way of showing support for a post without engaging, but I always recommend commenting on or using the heart emoji to “like” a post/reply for the best Forum experience.

Yes, I gave up on it when I got to 9 out of 10 votes used, and realized I’d shortly be out of votes because none of the (all very good & high-impact) suggestions had been adopted.
