Can easily recommend Chedworth Roman Villa (National Trust) and endorse Sudeley Castle as it’s one of my favourites. If visiting Blenheim Palace ( loved it too), make sure you seek out Sir Winston Churchill’s grave in the grounds of The Parish Church of Saint Martin in Bladon.

Here’s a useful link for guided walks. They’re guided by volunteers who just ask for a small donation at the end. Highly recommended:

Also check out Gloucestershire Circular Walking Group on Facebook (if you’re on Facebook), set up by a lovely young woman called Eloise for walkers with or without dogs - but mainly with! You can check out past walks

There’s a lovely circular walk from Winchcombe (the village where Sudeley Castle is based) which takes in the castle and a farm where you can buy Gloucester Old Spot sausages

So many lovely walks in the Cotswolds and especially around Winchcombe. In the hills above Sudeley Castle you can also find a ruined watermill, and the remains of a Roman villa hidden in the woods - complete with a small mosaic.

I have a long list of things we plan to do when we are in the Cotswolds for a month in May/June including National Trust sites and visiting more of the pretty villages. I also bought a book online called Short Walks in the Cotswolds.
