Thank you, MarieHuggins! We’re thinking of staying in Truro as a home base to visit most of the surrounding sights? We usually plan our International trips around house sits so will wait for a suitable sit (or 2) in the area. I’ve learned that public transport seems to be limited in Cornwall. We’ll be flying into Heathrow and would love to take some sort of train or bus down to either Devon or Cornwall area. We’ll rent a car to tour around…
You can take a train from London to Truro in about 4 and a half hours. There is also the Heathrow Express train which goes from Heathrow Terminals into Paddington Station which is the station you would need for routes down to Cornwall. A car once you’re in Cornwall is probably a must as public transport is not that great. Enjoy!
Arrived at my latest sit — in Seattle — tonight. Taking care of a sweet pup and two cats.
This is supposed to be the shy cat. Apparently not, LOL. He curled next to me in bed within 30 minutes of our meeting. His weakness turns out to be head scritches. I already love him.

I’m a (almost) full time sitter. My family and I are currently in southern England looking after a huge country house with extensive garden/paddocks - 2 dogs, three chickens, and two lovely ponies. It’s nearly over, but we’ve been having a wonderful time. Next up, in complete contrast, is a flat with a cat in central London!
