Who's on a house sit now? How's it going?

Hi @toml thank you for these wonderful pics and for taking us along on your day out.

The one of Flynn is a true heart melter …thank you for making our day :dog::blush::dog:

Went in to Bromley toady - market day but only 2 fruit and veg sellers, 1 music busker, and a pair of religious talkers. I did get a pair of avocados for me and a bunch of celery, bell peppers and onions to make jambalaya for the HOs return on Saturday. Will have to go to the grocery tomorrow to try to find US style smoked sausage (the closest I’ve seen so far is chorizo, so maybe a bit less pepper in the seasoning) and shrimp.

How absolutely wonderful!
On a side note, there is an excellent film on Netflix that depicts the most extraordinary life of Louis Wain who professed to have the ability of seeing the electrical energy of cats. Mr. Wain is portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch and in my opinion very well done. Quite enjoyable.
It’s called The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.

It makes me wonder if he would have been placed in a mental hospital had he lived today.
I can see the sparkle in Flynn!

Sometimes the crazies are the happiest people.

Up in the Blue Ridge mountains. Pretty isolated (only seen one other human) here but breathtakingly beautiful

We were in Brevard last year. It’s beautiful there. Wilmington is too far away for a visit. Enjoy every minute!

Enjoying a wonderful sit on the shores of Lake Macquarie at Toronto, New South Wales, Australia with two delightful pets, Ellie and Abbey.

Ellie, the cavoodle, has such a beautiful nature and is so loving. She is very popular around town and has her favourite doggy friends.

Abbey is 22 years old! She’s the first cat I have met who LOVES water. It’s a ritual that every morning the palm gets watered but it’s really for Abbey to have a little shower! One very wet cat appeared last night after rain but she doesn’t get dried off!

Beautiful sunrises as we walk along the lake edge.

What absolutely lovely pictures @temba, how are things in NSW?

Blue skies, sunshine and 30C here @Angela_L! More restrictions eased today in NSW, ACT and Victoria so life is getting back to more normality but we’re still being cautious for some things.

Great pics - Ellie is a standard poodle-cavalier? I’m sitting a miniature poodle-cavalier now - one of the sweetest dogs I’ve sat.

A one-sheet for the film is part of the exhibit. I noted the name and planned to look for it.
But today I’m staying at a house with Disney, so watched Hamilton while the winds are blowing a 35 miles an hour.

Yes @toml, but it’s more a smaller size poodle with the cavalier in Ellie’s case. Think one of her parents was also a cavoodle. You’ve discovered what beautiful natures they have too.

Now 2 weeks into a 3 week sit in real farm land - 6 hrs from Sydney Australia. 2 (working) dogs, 11 chickens, some sheep - and 11 fluffy Persian pure breed cats! It’s amazing being out here relaxing - although a few chores morning and night of course.

Looks like you’re enjoying outback NSW with great companions @Mjstokes. How many of the 11 Persians share your bed???

@Mjstokes - That looks like a lot of cat grooming to do!

3 or 4 at a time lol!

What type of working dogs? We just did a (non th)sit for the house dogs on a cattle station but they have some trusty Huntaways. There’s a puppy who squeaks rather than barks .

Two kelpies - sheep dogs. They are funny when they tiptoe and sneak up. They saw a rabbit when we were out walking - man they take off fast but don’t have the long range so little bunny got away!
