Who's on a house sit now? How's it going?

Meet sweet Ollie and Brody, who we will be caring for this week in Lancaster, PA. If the temps drop, I won’t need a blanket

We are heading to the Blue Ridge Foothills in Georgia at the end of April. Doing lots of research. It looks just our sort of place.
Loved the white squirrels. I’m used to grey or red, never seen white before.

The white squirrels were a first for me. They are extremely rare and tend to stay in certain areas.
These people are avid travelers so be on the lookout if it is of interest. They have offered me 3 more sits that I had to decline and more will be coming.
The place is gorgeous. Do you still have an RV?

No. The very large rv was not a success. It was a delivery trip to try it out. It wasn’t the length but the width that scared me. Very scary on the freeways. Smaller size are harder to get and very expensive so we have decided to buy a car and use self catering holiday accommodation if we can’t get sits where we want to be. Slightly harder to budget but we can do it.
We are back in UK at the moment, Bonny Scotland then home for some maintenance. Back to US in April, moving north very slowly. Up to eastern Canada for the July, August.

Loving this life.

YES! You know I’m grinning ear to ear. You will find a reliable used car then flip it, easy. Cost less in the South btw.
No Scotland on my itinerary yet! I only have 2 weeks free out of 5 months in the UK.
Booked the entire rest of the year into April '23! (Including my own personal sabbaticals)
It’s a fabulous life and I love it too!

Oh on topic,
Yes, I am on a glorious sit, repeat X I’ve lost track :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Did some pool maintenance this morning and topped off all the bird feeders.

I’m on my first international pet sit, in the south of France (I’m from the U.S.). I have charge of two very sweet, senior girls, one who’s having disk problems so will need some extra TLC (she also does not like her photo taken it seems, so gave me quite the wary eye — noted, Lara!).

Ha! I see her thoughts…‘Crazy American, what is dis? Why waste time taking pictures when she could be rubbing my back?’ (with French accent of course).

Enjoy! and please keep taking pics and sharing stories.

Oh, Chester, my beautiful hometown! I remember having my school services in that cathedral. Thanks for the memory jolt

Poor baby’s hurting a bit and is on gabapentin. She just wants to be left alone, but I’m going to have to insist she take a little walk soon. :frowning:

It is stunning. Just need the temperature to go up about 10’. I’ve remembered this past fortnight why I moved from Scotland to the South of England. But it’s great to visit.

I’m currently on a 2.5 week sit in Monterey California. I’ve been cuddling and caring for 3 precious "senior kitties " who are specialized diets including supplements, herbs and meds. They share They’re space with 3 rather joyous , singing loudly birds. Two parakeets and a cockatiel. The sit is going splendidly and since Monterey has been a go to "happy place " for many years ( I’m from the San Francisco bay area) I know the region. Our routine begins around 6 a.m. and I’m done by 7 ish which allows me time to get out and about before the p.m. ritual begins. They’re Mom is visiting family and currently on a crusie so since I’m a photographer I’ve been creating funny collages with the kids to send her.

Just finished up a great sit in Pennsylvania with these two sweet boys. We had a bit of a snow storm midweek, and enjoyed a full day of winter wonderland before the big melt began. Both Ollie and Brody were great cuddle bugs on the couch, when freezing temps kept us indoors. Thankfully our travel day was after all the roads were cleared. Lots of doggie hugs as we departed….we miss them already
