11 nights with brother/sister 13 year old cats in the Hawthorne neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. The weekend is kind of hot, but the house is staying cool and comfortable.
Magellan, the male is kind of a chunky guy.
Meiling, his sister is skinny.
From here I got to a small city nearby for a few nights with a senior Doberman, then to Eugene for almost 3 weeks with a pair of 3 yo Cav KCs and a 14 yo cat and a collection of bird feeders.
I feel so lucky to be able to string sits together like this.

First time sitting for this new addition and she climbed up on the rooftop. After two hours began meowing so I grabbed a ladder and attempted to get her from three different points around the house. Barely 5ft tall I am and all I could get was a few fingers to reassure her.
Friends and homeowners on their way home so I just waited outside with her.
“Oh she does that all the time. She’s just playing with you. She’ll come down”.
Sure enough.

One of my first sits - during covid was in the Hollywood neighborhood of Portland, last Feb near Mt Tabor, and now Hawthorne!

Short ‘fill-in’ sit in Redmond, OR with Porter, a 10 yo Doberman. He is getting on in years and has Wobblers syndrome. Causes some unsteadiness in his gait, but he still loves to be around you and lean. Weather is mostly nice (thunder and hail as I arrived on Fri).
Redmond is filled with nice coffee shops with great baked things!

On a new sit with Hux in Orlando. Yes he’s as big as he looks, but he acts like a pup. Mom and Dad come home tonight, so a quick tidy and a thank you note to finish up.

I didnt leave him out alone and when he was out, only lasted a few minutes. We both enjoyed the AC and snooze time.
