Just arrived to Savannah, Georgia USA where I have been trusted with the care of these beautiful brother and sister.
Both have visual impairments but we are feeling mighty good about this.

Well back at the same sit again as June and been soooo lucky. Arrived yesterday and was told that the whole bathroom sink /cupboard element had fallen of the wall just that morning. Hate to think what I problem I would have had if that had happed the day after while only I was here.
And Kitty has been in the wars` again, am thinking she is gonna have to become an indoor kitty as she is now limping around the house. Seems this week she came home limping and according to the owner she probably been in a fight again with the red cat that bit her last time. This cat just seems to out to attack any other cat on the communal rooftop. There is no visible wound but she is really limping and holding up her leg whenever she can to “take the weight” off. When she walks she’s doing so like a cat I took over from an old neighbor after it had fallen off the balcony and broken it’s shoulder. Hoping for her it is just a really bad sprain. I think more likely that she’s actually been pushed off the roof into one of the neighbors gardens and of course hit the floor wrong with her leg /shoulder. I’d love to have actually put her into a bench or something to force her to rest it because it’s a 3 story house and she keeps gong up & down the stairs after which you can really see it hurts.
In the photo she was sound asleep on my knee and my arm is really full on trembling

I’m with rescue kitties Ron & Len in London for ten days … traveled from Scotland by train on Wednesday … “Let the train take the strain” wise words 4 and a half hours compared to ??? in a car.

Since yesterday (Friday) afternoon the heavens have opened up Ark Blueprints would be this sitter’s emergency plan and I have two cats … just need to find a couple of lions, elephants, dogs and llamas etc., etc

Happy Caturday everyone

Finishing up a week in Alhambra, CA - just south of Pasadena and east of Los Angeles.
Sitting with a Willow, a 6 year old short hair blue merle collie and Georgia, an 8 year old aussie shepherd. They are some of the sweetest dogs I’ve sat with. Willow just loves to fetch a doggie frisbee and will do it forever.
The house is a classic mid-cent modern on a hill with a deck and 270 degree view west.
Willow who doesn’t like posing

Visited the Huntington gardens and museum and got to see a Chinese movie - Chinese Doctors about corona virus in Wuhan. Not a lot of Chinese movies make it to the US and definitely don’t get shown in non-Chinese communities.

Brilliant @Colin thank you for lovely pet pix.

Stay dry … :slightly_smiling_face:

Lovely pix @toml thank you for sharing

Thank you for great :camera:

It has been unusually bad weather. We had one train cancelled a few weeks ago due to flooding, and another cancelled last week due to wind bringing a tree down on the track - during our UK summer!

Yesterday I had a flood in the kitchen at my sit in London and this was just posted on line …

"The Met Office forecaster continued: “On Sunday morning the outbreaks of rain in the west will move slowly eastwards, clouding things over in the east after a brighter start.

“Through the afternoon will see heavy and thundery showers breaking out through much of the UK though there will be sunny spells in between as showers rattle through fairly quickly”

Such crazy weather. There are places in the world dealing with tragic and catastrophic situations who are desperate for rain.

In Jacksonville for nearly two more weeks with Oscar who thinks he’s a dog and I suspect is thrilled that his dog brother and sister went with their mom and pops.
He is getting lots and lots of love and attention, claimed a spot on my bed and follows me everywhere!

In the second photo this well known quote came to mind,

Hi all!

I’m currently on a housesit in Switzerland (my first through THS) where I get to keep lovely Muska company. Muska was a bit shy at first but totally warmed up to me. She now follows me to bed every night where she wants cuddles until she falls asleep purring. She is the cutest!

Muska has a ginger friend nicknamed Garfield who emloys the people next door. Garfield is not allowed in the house (can’t be accused of stealing the neighbours cat after all) so Muska likes to laugh at him when he’s outside in the rain. Poor Garfield.

The area (Toggenburg) is absolutely stunning. I would probably not have travelled to Switzerland if it wasn’t for housesitting (I am addicted to travelling to Southern Africa, so that’s what I usually travel) but I am glad I ended up here! I feel very grateful for this first experience through THS!
