Yes, got tears in my eyes when I read this.
@Maggie8K Wow, I thought it said 72 hours when I first saw it, but no it was 72 days! We had Jack Russell terriers growing up and they are compact and tough little dogs. Such a sad and moving story, but I can’t help being happy that the little dog survived. 
Yup, hope she lives a long, happy life. Courageous and loyal pup — her human was lucky to have her with him till the last.
