Pets look cute and great you have strong sitter reviews from before @JPAT. Sitters need to see where they are sleeping, bathing, living, cooking and hanging out before they can choose a sit so would love to see some photos of the sitters bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space as a minimum please, which as @Happypets says is supposed to be obligatory on all listings. A lot of animals for sure but looks like fun, how many hours a day needed on pet care, how long can they be left for, do the dogs/cats sleep on the beds and is that optional, info & timings on dog walks for each of them etc needs adding too. All that will help. Also maybe add a family friendly tag if youâre open to it as there looks like lots of space and pet fun for youngsters (as it sounds for your own family) which may also attract more sitters. #moreinfoandpicsplease
Do you mean youâd agreed video chats with both these applicants last Friday, but they never called? How far in advance did you arrange the chats? I think many sitters apply for numerous sits with coinciding dates - we certainly do - so itâs always best to communicate promptly and arrange video chats without delay, or you risk losing applicants to other sits. Then again, if weâve arranged chats but then are invited to alternative sits, we always contact pet parents to let them know we wonât be calling.
Thank you for this helpful advice which we will take on board.
Many thanks for your constructive comments which we will take on board and address.
Yes it does now as weâve run out of time to get a sitter. We are away next week so the dogs are going to kennels and our friendly neighbours are looking after the others.
Thank you, Jenny
You mention 3 dogs and thereâs a picture of Rapha but nothing regarding his care.
It does. I only have 2 arms so wonât walk more than 2.
The photos are all of the pets. At a minimum you need photos of the sitterâs bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.
Usually I prefer off leash dogsâŚ
Thank you again for all of your constructive feedback - our listing has been updated as a consequence. All comments welcome again.
Just happened to me now as well - I had a confirmed sitter then she has gone silent on me. I contacted Trusted Housesitters and they have even tried to reach out to her and she has just disappeared. We leave in 3 days and have no one to look after our dog and because I live in Morocco its not exactly an easy place to have someone come last minute! Why canât people just send a message saying they are no longer interested or something came up rather than just ghost you!
