Would it be possible to have a “disregard” button similar to the “Favourite” button, so that these sits don’t reappear in the New Sits emails sent to sitters. Getting an email every day with the sits that have been discounted is slightly annoying.

Seemingly like you, we find that there are some listings to which we will never apply, for various reasons. And some listings that simply annoy us, for example if they are repeatedly re-posted to appear as ‘new’ (difficult to imagine that a listing is somehow more attractive when viewed again again and again).
It’s possible that THS may be reluctant with such functionality as generically unattractive listings may receive many ‘disregard’ buttons. But de-prioritizing such listings in itself seems a value-add to the housesit community and housesitter member experience.
Members have been asking for a feature to hide or block unattractive listings for years. It’s clearly not something that THS wants to implement☹️

Yep, as others have mentioned, this “wish” has been mentioned many times in the past to no avail. It makes me CRAZY that I cannot “eliminate” a listing that I know is not suitable for us so I can focus on new listings when I want to “save” or “favorite” ones for the future. I look at so many there is no way I can remember every one I’ve looked at and decided it was not suitable for one reason for another.
It’s a massive waste of time that would be improved 100% by having a “do not show me this listing” option!!
Would be so nice if THS would heed this request!!
