Baffled by the dashboard

I”m baffled.

How do I get to the “find a sit” page to see other listings and sitters?? I’ve found it before, but can’t get back.

I’ve successfully posted a listing and have no trouble navigating that part of the site.

On the dashboard I see the following options in the menu:

Sits…. Inbox… Listing… Help… Profile pic (which has menu items: favourites, past sitters, settings)

Below that is my one listing, “add a sit”, then vet advice line, etc.

Hitting the house icon in the upper left reloads the same page

Do I have to log out to get to the “find a house sit”/ “Find a pet sitter” pages? Am I missing a button somewhere? Are my ad-blockers interfering? Is there a secret code?

Help please.

Hi @Keweenaw_Sarah

Try clicking on the Trusted Housesitters logo in top left corner of screen. That should take you away from your dashboard and show two main, dark green buttons - to either ‘find a pet sitter, or ‘search for a home to sit’.

We’ve found that sharing a listing and having sitters apply is the best way of arranging a successful sit.

However if you would like to reach out to sitters, scroll to the bottom of the page, and under Pet Parent Resources there is a Find a Sitter option.

We recently made a bunch of changes to the Pet Parent dashboard, here’s an overview we shared earlier this year.

That’s certainly the behavior I expected! But, when I’m logged into my account, that button just reloads the same dashboard page.

I see from Mark below that te option is now hidden at the bottom of the page in the footnotes. Weird.

Apparently the only link to the homepage from the dashboard is in the footnotes at the bottom of Pet parent resources.“ Weird.

Ok, thanks, I found that link hidden at the bottom of the page.

It’s strange to make that so difficult to find. As a first time user trying to figure out the system I wanted to look at other listings, see what sitter profiles were like, and generally get a “look and feel” about the community, after trying every option at the top of the page and logging in and out multiple times, I nearly gave up in frustration.
