The famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in Northern Ireland was first erected by salmon fishermen in 1755. Suspended almost 100ft above the Atlantic Ocean, the crossing covers a chasm connecting to the rocky island of Carrick-a-Rede.

And another I found searching bridges in my photos - a painting from the Merritt Parkway Museum in Stratford, CT. Little museum in the lobby of a shopping center near the Merritt Parkway.


Visited while on a sit in West Haven, CT.
Also visited the Pez factory and museum on that sit.

I love this thread just discovered it. Here’s a few bridges that I really like. First is from Invermoriston a village along the road following Loch Ness, then the brightly colored bridge from Brattleboro Vermont across to New Hampshire a 10 minute walk, then a bridge in Strafford Vermont.
