Best pet names

I’ve just seen a sit for a cat named Spartacus. That might just be my best name ever.

What’s yours?

I’ll be spending New Year with Psoglav - an online search came up with this but thankfully he’s an absolute cutie, nicknamed “Soggy” (I had the pleasure of meeting him and his hoomans last week as it’s a local sit).

My friends have/had dogs named Kevin and Doug. I enjoy human names for doggos. Doug is no longer with us, but Miss (!!!) Kevin is adorable and I sat for her over Christmas in Lisbon a couple years ago and we had a blast. She looks like cross between a black lab and a dachshund with a lab face and body and short stubby dachshund legs.

We looked after a cat that was called Mr. O’Malley - this cat was amazing as he was able to use his paw to open his own treat cupboard. Had to really keep an eye on him so he didn’t overindulge

I am always drawn to food names for pets - we called our lop eared rabbits treacle ( black ) and Nutella ( chocolate brown ) .

I have seen a listing for a dog called strudel :yum: and that instantly made me want to do the sit ( although it’s in entirely different continent to the one that I am searching for )

I loved the name Mochi for a fluffy white dog with pink skin peeking through. She looked like an actual mochi and was just as sweet.

Another dog I sat was named Enzo, because when young he used to zip around like a little Italian sports car, I was told. His primary human used to work in the auto industry and loved Italian speedsters.

Enzo seemed Italian by how warmly he greeted everyone, including strangers and random kids in public. He nuzzled me at the doorway as soon as I entered.

I had a cat called Pharmy.
He arrived at Fledermaus Towers when he was tossed into my front yard from a passing car. Of course, I rushed him to the vet, where he underwent treatment for everything from broken bones to FCV. When I came to collect him, I discovered that the list of procedures and medicines in his treatment sheet was so long that the column had been extended steadily upwards - right up to the box for Patient’s Name. And in that box, the nurse had written the heading for the column: Pharmaceuticals. Well, that’s ever such a long word to be calling out of an evening, so… [Pharmy was a super character. Even now, well beyond the days of hand-written vet forms, I miss him.]

@Debbie :popcorn:Where is this sit ? Doesn’t matter what the house is like - with pet names like these I need to apply

I hope the dogs had good recall or sitter might get some puzzled looks calling out those names repeatedly  ?
