Can I add a second home to my Homeowner listing?

I would like to add a second home to my Homeowner listing. Is this possible?

I only see where my original listing is.

I’d rather not have to delete all of that to add another for one sit this summer.

Thanks!!

I just searched the forum and here’s your answer:

You could definitely use 1 listing for both homes, just be sure to add pictures of & info about both homes in your listing, and change your location in accordance to which property you’re advertising. You just need to clearly state in your listing which home is for the current listed date (or, and perhaps less confusing, just remove the info from one home and replace it with the other for whichever location you’re listing. You could have the pictures & information for the other home saved somewhere on your computer and swap when needed). You would also need info about both homes on your welcome guide.

It might be problematic or confusing for sitters though if you plan to list dates for both properties at the same time. In this case, it’s probably best to make a separate listing for each property.

I recently had a sit (US) that listed only 1 location, but in our interview, the HO said there was another home within 50 miles of the listing and asked me which I preferred. HO provided details and pics of the 2nd home. I thought it was great of them to offer me the choice.

The last statement is the crux about having both houses listed on one profile.
But, I wouldn’t have both houses listed at once because I am only living in one at a time and the animals are only at that particular house that would need care.
I guess for my situation, I will create pics and descriptions for both places, and only swap them out as needed.
I don’t see myself having to do that more than once per year…
Thanks!!

I believe the official policy is that you have to have two accounts. That’s kind of ridiculous. I’ve seen people just switch out a home and a description. You can always save everything to a document. You probably won’t need to change much about the pets, but photos, amenities, descriptions, yup. The reviews will all be there unchanged!

Here’s the weird part. So let’s say your home is in Brooklyn, but your summer place is in Pennsylvania. When you switch locations it will look like all the reviews happened in Pennsylvania. When you switch again, all the reviews will be in Brooklyn. You can’t control this. All you can do is warn the sitters to identify the location if they write a review. As a sitter it’s a little annoying. I had this happen to me and had to explain that I really, really, really, don’t do local sits and never actually sat in Brooklyn! But given that the Pennsylvania house and it’s description are now gone, I’m not sure if they believed me.

cool! thanks a lot!

  1. A second home reveal mid-interview? Love a good upgrade option!

Ive seen many HO’S mention they have a winter home and a summer home. They list both in their posting ,even asking what home the sitter prefers to sit at. Many people in winter states such as Wisconsin, Minnesota have homes in Florida or other warm places they go to in the winter, then back after winter.
