Charmaine from the Emerald Isle, Ireland lover of pets

From tortoises to hamsters, from hamsters to bunnies, budgies, cockatiels and stray birds to care for, dogs and cats I love them all. Im orginally from South Africa, and family have Game Lodges, so used to Elephants, Lions and wildlife. We had many monkeys in our garden. You have to get to know them!
I’m looking to housesit and pet sit in Ireland. Not Northern Ireland. It is too far.
I am an excellent housesitter. I love every home as my own. So it is well clean an kept. So are the animals I care for. I am trully so overhoyed to join this community of people and I have excellent references.

Welcome Charmaine and hope you get some sits in Ireland. I’m not sure why you think Northern Ireland is too far, it’s all part of the same island.

Welcome, from an Irish woman living in Dallas.

There are lots of sits listed in Ireland. if you search for “Ireland” you won’t see N. Ireland, because that is considered United Kingdom (probably many NI residents are unhappy with this designation).

I’m curious why you consider N. Ireland to be too far? Some parts of the Republic are further north than the NI border.

Welcome Charmaine! I’m originally from Dublin, Ireland and have done two house sits in Dublin - there is so much to see and do there in the city alone. As others have commented, not sure why you consider Northern Ireland too far as Belfast is only a 2 hour drive from Dublin. I went there for an afternoon visit while on my house sit in Dublin. I’ve noticed there’s lots of house sits in Ireland lately so hope you find something to your liking!

Thank you Globetrotter. Nice to meet you! Yes, perhaps it is the way I worded my intro.
Northern Ireland is not far, its just that I have circumstances that need me to be in Ireland right now. I would also need a visa for Northern Ireland. Take care. Thank you for caring.

I have only arrived in Ireland and have a lot to sort out here. Also as you say, Northern Ireland is considered UK. I would need to apply for a Visa. It really isn’t too far, but it is my circumstances right now. Nice to meet you and Thank you for the comment.

I have responsibilities in Ireland. Also, I need and my daughter will need a visa to get into Northern Ireland. For now, I can’t venture too far. But perhaps one day…
Thank you for commenting. Nice to meet you…
