I am new to pet sitting but am particularly interested in Riga, Latvia as my adopted daughter lives there and I would like to visit her. I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet a need for a pet owner while visiting my daughter as well. I am a huge pet lover and know how important it is to have reliable sitters.

As THS is a British site, with most members being in the UK & U.S, unfortunately it’s quite rare to find sits in Eastern Europe here on THS. A quick search shows me there are currently zero active listings in Latvia, and only 4 past listings in Latvia the history of THS. I think you would have much better luck with local Latvian pet sitting Facebook groups, if there are some. I wish you the best of luck though; if you are in the UK and want to do UK pet sits, you will find thousands of sits across the country.
You could set your location to Riga - some owners send invitations to local sitters.
And you should make a saved search for Latvia, with alerts. But there won’t be many from there. I would then also include Estonia and Lithuania (you could put that area in a map search), just for seeing what might come up.
