I have just joined trusted house sitters and wondered if there’s a way to message a particular party. I love to travel and look forward to looking after pets & homes.
I do have one particular preference, Banff Alberta, purely because my son lives there and I like to visit. I’m wondering if it is possible to meet up with potential pet parents

@Westwood1 Welcome! Your question has been asked many times, and the simple answer is no. The only way for you to contact a PP/HO is when they post a sit.
If you set Banff, Alberta as a “Saved Search” you will be notified when new sits are posted.

Hi and thanks for responding. I am planning a trip to Banff soon and thought it would have been a good opportunity for a meet up but just getting use to how this site works.

We can’t always guarantee that a Forum member will be in the area, but if there is anyone from Banff who is looking for a meet up, they can let you know.
I recommend posting the meet up to include the dates that you’ll be there, and any thoughts you’d had on a meet up venue or activity.

@Westwood1, lucky you - Banff AB is a spectacularly pretty place to visit. We have completed multiple sits in Alberta, indeed recently confirmed another one.
This seems a great example of the value-add of the Saved Search function on THS.
We have not seen a high number of listings specifically in Banff.
If your dates are reasonably specific then suggest that you broaden geographic criteria. For example, some sits are listed in nearby-ish Canmore; and more are listed in Calgary. Clearly any travel would need to work with pet commitment.
Or search for Banff properties and favourite those (even if not currently seeking sitters) that seem appealing. Should those Pet Parents list housesits in the future then you will receive a notification.
