Daily alert email link to the site

As a sitter, I like to receive my daily email from THS to alert me about interesting new pet sits. However, when I click on the link in the email, I end up on the THS site with low application results. Now I do understand that THS wants to draw attention to those sits, but that is not what the button “view all X new sits” implies. As I do have some experience in the company I work for with useability topics, this is not well done. I first want to see the new ones. In any other way, I enter the THS site in search of a sit, It would be perfectly fine if you show me first the “low application” results. Can this please be changed?

@markhellemans I’ve written to membership services about this some time ago but with no success. They are well aware of what they are doing and obviously have no intention of changing it. Their priority appears to continually be to promote listings with low applications.

Yes, they are well aware that the default search shows the “low application” results first. That is quite obviously by design.

The behaviour of the email link is coupled to that and they may be unable to change it. There does not seem to be a parameter in the url that can change the default ordering. So one needs to click on “⇅Sort by” to change sorting order from “Recommended” to “Newest”. And then click apply.
