Diversion from heavy stuff

I have a dog who I regularly sit for who watches tv too. Quiz shows, antique roadshow, the news, cartoons, and wildlife, he loves them all.

I’m just checking my feet lol!@MaggieUU

So I’ve had a pre visit to some lovely Home owners who are between pets. She’s just sent me a photo of a dog she’s checking out tomorrow..she’s

not sure what is in the mix! Any ideas? Interesting colouring. Looks medium sized.

@Highfive i tried Google Lens and I think he is definitely Siberian Husky with probably some German Shepherd in him. Lovely dog

Thanks so much! I’ve sent your diagnosis to the prospective owner. She didn’t want a puppy and she’s near great walks and the seaside so that’s looking like a happy fit right there! Thanks for the help!

@Highfive you’re welcome! Hope I am at least close with my assumption. That one is definitely not a puppy lol

The flat ears are a mystery maybe some Bernese Mountain Dog with the colouration of torso? Its early days I expect they will be spoilt for choice.

And you should see their mating dance!

Have you come across ‘dog tv’? On a smart tv if you can get youtube look for it. Cartoons for dogs in blue and yellow (colours they see best) or films of dogs living their best lives, all with soothing classical music. It’s calming for humans to watch too!

@Maerad no, I haven’t seen that but will certainly have a look for it. I do have a smart tv, thank you

I’ve toyed with the idea of taking on a retired police dog and this post interested me. Not all dogs pass the test!

He’d still have a bed in my home!

My posts are embarrassingly dog heavy so I thought I’d share this one. I do look after more dogs than cats but that’s because in some places they are more popular..

Anyway I never went so far to have a pet photo on a t shirt… Anyone go the whole hog as it were? It makes returning cats to their owners a whole lot easier!

I’m often attracted to massive dogs and this shop sign meant for the attention of mastiff owners made me smile.. my Great Danes were aware they were big (except when my lap was empty) But I always checked before taking them to new places and rarely took them shopping with me!

(I’m an English teacher so sporting a spelling mistake in this notice gets extra credit!)

Love it!! Very funny and well written  The spelling error is way down the bottom in small letters - horse not hoarse :student:

When I saw this sign in Switzerland - I wondered what this dachshund had done to get banned ?

As well as the “hoarse” spelling, there’s an ‘r’ missing from the word “your”.
