Got any photos to share?

Hello everyone!

Sharing photos is such a fun way of showing people what your life looks like, whether it’s meet-up photos or a lovely sunset.

I know we’ve got a couple of threads dedicated to specific things like pet pics, graffiti and sunsets, so I thought I’d create a place for us to share anything that doesn’t fit into those categories.

If you took a lovely photo that you’d like to share with the community, please share it here!

PS. My photo is from St Mary’s Loch, where I often venture out for a walk with one of my friends!

My hobby is playing Saxophone very badly….i started learning during Covid aged 62 with zero previous experience and had to learn Music Theory and sight reading. I can play a few tunes nowadays….I now own 5 Saxophones and here are just 3 of them.

Currently on a road trip with my husband. We switched routes on the fly, because of snow in other parts of the country, the beauty of road trips’ flexibility.

We’ve been lucky to enjoy loads so far in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, with our dog included in our adventures. Many U.S. hotels allow dogs nowadays. We even were allowed to bring him on a cruise yesterday, as long as he stayed in his stroller, so he didn’t wander aboard. So now he’s sailed on both U.S. coasts.

So far on this trip, we’ve also visited a tulip farm, a state park, a national park and several charming, walkable towns. We’re lucky that our dog loves road trips.

Two weeks ago, I wrapped at lovely cat sit in Manhattan. Spring is beautiful there and my hosts’ condo had gorgeous river front views.

Recent photo of Malahat Skywalk, a remarkable structure in Victoria BC Canada. 250 metres (820 feet) tall. Ascend wooden spiral walkway. Spectacular views. Descend same way or via central curly slide

I was only wondering the other day whether you were still playing as hadn’t mentioned the sax. Wow! 5 saxophones! Well done, I really admire your tenacity :clap:

I have been in Somerset on a lovely sit. The weather was perfect and I was not far from the coast although driving through the little lanes is not for the faint hearted. It was like going back in time. I even got my car filled with petrol by the man who owned the local garage!

Dunster

On a trip to Trieste, we saw these in giant jelly fish in the bay. Lots of them. Never saw anything like that outside of an aquarium!

Hi @Chrissy Gorgeous photos! We are currently on a foodie road trip across Cornwall, North Devon and Somerset and we were just recently in Dunster. It’s such a beautiful village isn’t it?
We visited Dunster Castle and the bluebells were out, it looked lovely!

This is our home. We’d invite you all to visit if you come to Mexico, but we tend to move around a lot…

I hadn’t been in Dunster since 1974, it still looked to the same. I visited lots of gardens and where I was staying they had a fabulous garden, 3 cats and a duck who knocked on the window with his beak if he wasn’t fed around 4pm. I like the South West for winter sits, empty beaches and no traffic

Just watching the birds. First and only time I ever saw this kind of bird.

We feel so lucky to have visited a remote U.S. national park yesterday that includes glacier-carved valleys, a rain forest and vast coastline, plus gorgeous lakes and a historical lodge. We saw loads of elk as well.

The park is separated from Canada by the Salish Sea, in the U.S. Pacific Northwest state of Washington. On clearer days than we had, you can see part of Canada from some perspectives.

Our photos couldn’t do any of it justice. Parts of it feel alternately primordial, serene and humbling. We’ll definitely return and stay longer. There are cabins and campgrounds in various parts of the nearly one million acres.

We’ve visited many national parks over the decades and this immediately ranks among our favorites. The diversity of landscapes and water are incredible, plus relatively few people visit. We learned a lot as well, thanks to great explainers, like along rain forest trails.

@sandydandy love the UGGs :heart_eyes:

That cat photo is adorable!

St Mary’s Loch a favourite of mine. A nice drive down from Edinburgh on the back roads

Thank you to everyone who has shared a photo so far, please keep them coming, I love seeing a slice of life from our Forum members!

@fyfie It’s such a lovely drive! We go through Selkirk, and down the windy Moffatt road with the sheep, and I love it every time!

Zion National Park

Wrapped our latest road trip with a visit to Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington state in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. The glacier riverbeds were huge, with water washing rocks and boulders down each year.

We also visited various historical and maritime towns, including a vintage train station and hotel and pub. And stopped by a cidery for flights. All the better, because we had our dog with us, who enjoyed his many sniffing adventures.
