Domestic or International Sits, Have You Changed Your Pet & Housesitting Plans?

I’ve seen that sit too, RunnerC! In Castlemaine, Vic. Where are you?

We were in Newcastle but moved back to NZ for a while before another adventure.

If you do make it over this way, would be happy to cross paths

Thank you! Hopefully that may happen.

Domestic for us. We had 2 international sits lined up in 2020 but these got cancelled due to Covid. Given the international uncertainty we have decided to focus on UK sits this year and are delighted to be sitting in some beautiful areas that were on our wish list.

Welcome to our community forum and for sharing you experiences of local sitting, it really is a wonderful opportunity to discover our own “Back Yards” to find places we would otherwise never have seen, meet special people along the way an most importantly keeping adorable pets happy at home.

Thank you for joining and for being part of our amazing community … enjoy connecting with other members and your UK housesitting adventures.

Has to be domestic this summer but we are visiting some fantastic local areas which we have been to before but never for any length of time. Getting lots of walking in as well with some beautiful dogs.
We are booked to go to France in the Autumn and hopefully Caribbean for the winter. It all depends when Governments deem it is safe to travel. Missing my international animal fix though.

Hi Elsie, domestic is the sitting experience for most this year and so many sitters are enjoying discovering their own “back yard” and like you say pet sitting allows us to stay awhile and explore places in a way traditional travel doesn’t allow.

International will return … meanwhile pets, people and places have returned.

Enjoy

Definitely UK sits for the foreseeable future. We had a UK sit cancelled when the HO family were unable to travel due to their “Fit to fly” Covid test results not coming through in time. If they can’t get the results back within 72 hours when only a few countries are available to travel to from the UK, how will they cope when travel is opened up more?!
