Feature Request: Hide listings/profiles

Excellent suggestion. A hide button for the listing would help take care of this problem – and make it more efficient for us all as we scroll sitters and home listings. I edited a screen capture to show what I mean. I think we will all benefit from this addition.

  1. YES on limiting the number of pets that show up in the results! Thank you for requesting this.

  2. I could not agree more about needing a HIDE LISTING BUTTON. I have requested that several times via the surveys with no results. Now, I am posting and replying in several places in the forum to try and get it going.

Attached in an altered screen capture to better show what is needed.

Hi @SewTree

This is a really interesting idea!

We’ve moved your post and started a new topic as we’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on your suggested “hide listing” idea.

I’ve also passed your idea over to the team. If I hear anything back, I’ll let you know.

Jenny

@SewTree @Jenny Yessss!!! It is so time consuming to have to click on the map to notice the listing which is absolutely not useful at this moment. And notice: ‘Oh, it is that one again.’ And double checking it, because I forgot the reason why I don’t apply.

At the same time you will also need a list of ‘hided listings’ as the situation might change in the future, when you want the listing to be visible again.

@SewTree. Great idea. Multiple THS Forum threads have requested Blacklist / Non-favourite or equivalent function on THS. To our knowledge, THS declined. One use case that causes housesitters frustration are pet parents that repeatedly re-post their listings. This may reflect aspiration that poor number or quality of applicants comes from listing date. So keep listing, relisting, relisting, … each with a notification. Rather than, more likely, the reality that their THS listing is poor or housesitting opportunity is unattractive.

A good idea, but are you ready to absorb an increase in your annual susbcription or booking fees ?
