Flexible sit wording

I’m thinking of asking for sitters for 10 days. We would like to go to an event over a weekend but the rest of the dates are very flexible. I don’t want to limit or miss a potential perfect match because a sitter is unable to apply because of a clash of dates.
Would this be a sensible option or even clear enough.
Sitters needed for 10 days, flexible need to cover 6-9th June.

The wording is ok, however, you still need to specify dates to do the listing. And once the dates are there … some sitters won´t be able to contact you

Edit: unless you only list 6-9 June and clarify it is a 10 day sit in the listing

I encountered a sit recently where the HO had specified ‘dates flexible’ but had requested 3 weeks within a 2-months period. The result was, we couldnt apply because the specified window was too wide and councided with confirmed sits.

I’d recommend you list a sit covering the dates which are imperative but clearly state the duration you’re wanting, then more sitters can potentially apply.

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice I will post for the dates needed and add in the title the number of dates required.

Only thing I’d add is make it clear how much of a flex is ok on either side so people know what they’re working with. X

To be super clear, I would put 6-9 June as the listing dates, and within the title, “10 night sit with flexible dates,” and in the body of the listing, give examples:

For example:

30 May - 9 June

Or 6 - 16 June

Or 3 - 13 June

Note that I put the word “nights.” Maybe you just want 9 “nights” and 10 days. This can be confusing. Just be clear in your listing.
