I’m super inspired by everyone’s bread!
The only kind of bread I can make is Irish soda bread, but I’d love to try other kinds.
What do you all think are the easiest kinds of bread to make?

@Jenny ahh I love Irish soda bread
Easy breads are non-yeast breads like banana bread, pumpkin bread, courgette bread. I would try pizza crust, which is a yeast flatbread, but easy and small batch.
Pizza bread and pumpkin bread sound right up my street! Thanks for the suggestions @PVGemini - I’ll report back if I give them a go!
We’ll be heading home from a road trip, so I was going to place an order. It turns out the cheapest delivery for one dozen bagels is more than 80 bucks just for delivery, which seems outrageous. I ended up ordering Montreal bagels from Goldbelly instead. They sound interesting enough to try, with more reasonable shipping prices. Might try Boichik when I’m in the Bay Area again. Or maybe they’ll partner with Goldbelly and manage to take advantage of economies of scale with GB’s more reasonable shipping charges.
I have tried many pumpkin bread recipes. It is a staple in the US around Thanksgiving. This one is the best and so easy!
@PVGemini looks delicious … thank you for the recipe
I finally got around to trying Boichik Bagels in San Francisco and am disappointed. It’s an above average bagel, but nowhere near the best.
I ordered a plain sesame seed bagel and tried it without anything, for the real test. Also got their “classic” — a bagel with nova lox, cream cheese, onions and capers. (I removed the tomato, which is weird to me in that combo, because tomato doesn’t complement nova lox.)
The bagels lack the chewiness, texture and taste of what I consider the best.
Bummer, because I was excited to try them and to bring some on my flight home, for my husband to try after my current sit. Nope, not worth the effort.
