Today March 27th is National Terrier Day!
There are 27 recognised terrier breeds on the Kennel Club list, which is why the 27th of March was chosen for National Terrier Day.

Did you know that these adorable little dogs live up to their Australian heritage, they can continuously leap in the air from a “sitting start” and Joey used this as his “get up now or else” at 5.30 every morning … and I am not a morning person, it worked, every time!! 
Last but def. not least JR … My Jack Russell “Nephew” from Bakersfield CA. Met his Mom many years ago when we were both expats in North Africa … we became lifelong friends, sharing doggy “kids”

Thank you, we were doing one of our favourite wanders, from Hordle to Barton on Sea along the cliff top path and there are these beautiful wild flowers growing, (they look much better in real life) so I got them all to lay down in them so I could take the photo……. the bird was a lucky fluke!
I love the ssequenicity of how topics pop up. Today while out for a walk I met this handsome guy, meet Rudy a ginormous Airedale Terrier who lives here in Burlington Vermont where I’ve been sitting the last few weeks. Like many of us dog nerds I always talk to the dogs first, sorry pet parents nothing personal.
Here’s a couple more. First there’s Goldie, a Border Terrier mix I photographed for friend’s of family. Then Luigi aka Poo Bear my fur nephew also a Terrier mix.
