I’m very excited to have found this site. I have a sweet dog and a nice home in a nice neighborhood in Scottsdale, Arizona. I’ve had one house/pet sitter so far and have another one lined up for next month.
I’m wondering though, would it be difficult to find sitters in the summer months? It’s pretty darn hot here in the Phoenix area.
Hi @SLK
A warm welcome to the forum, and we are pleased you have found us too.
Fantastic news that you have had one sitter already, and a confirmed sitter for a future date.
Sitters sit for so many reasons, that I really believe you will find the right person to sit for you during those summer months. One example is sitters may have family close by and want to be independent but yet close to them.
Hi @SLK. I don’t think you’ll have problems finding someone. There are people that come to AZ for all sorts of reasons, even in the summer.
We are going to be spending part of each summer there because we have family in Mesa and friends in downtown Phoenix. There are likely also younger local sitters that might enjoy getting out of a roommate situation for a bit, or getting to ‘borrow’ a pet when their lease might not allow them to have their own.
Or, if you are really happy with one of the confirmed sitters already, go ahead and ask them if they might be available? I’m sure you’ll find the right sitter.
Hello @SLK and welcome to the Community Forum
I don’t think you will have any trouble at all finding sitters during the summer months, we have visited Scottsdale many times during the summer and we love it and also as @Therese states, people sit for many different reasons so I am sure you will be fine and will receive many applicants
