Hello animal lovers! My name is Cynthia (friends call me Cindy) and I am new to this website but not to house and pet sitting! I’m from Canada but now live in the south of Sweden. I work in the global office for IKEA and love my job!

I’m looking forward to being a part of this community and sharing my love for the wellbeing of animals all over the world! My schedule is quite flexible, so feel free to reach out if you need a sit last minute! My details are in my forum profile.

I still have yet to visit an IKEA, I have no idea how I have arrived at my age and never visited one before! :sweat_smile:… I did fall in love with the Swedish meatballs at the various restaurants on our trip to Sweden last Autumn and someone actually told me whilst I was there that I can get meatballs in any IKEA so I am definitely going to visit my local IKEA and try them! … although I do hope they serve them with lingonberries too :slightly_smiling_face:

HI @Cynthia and welcome to THS and the forum. I took a look at your profile and would suggest that you ask for some references. I realize you may already be working on that. If not, they are helpful. Once you start getting reviews from THS sits the references do become less important.

Yes, I only have references on AirBnb, but am working on one from my friend. It’s a bit difficult to ask for them from my work colleagues… :frowning:

Hahaha, well, it is a bit of a trip to get to one of our suburb stores if you live in the city, but we will be opening more city stores soon!

I believe all IKEA restaurants will serve lingonberry sauce. It is part of the identify of IKEA!

I am pet sitting all the time here for friends and colleagues while they travel or are too busy! I am pet sitting a friend’s puppy at the moment! Love doing it!

Thanks for the ideas BunnyCat! Fortunately none of my colleagues have become former colleagues, especially in the situation the world is in now. I am working on these references, believe me. I lived in Japan for awhile, so unfortunately the reference would be written in Japanese, not English :frowning:
But keep these ideas coming!
