Hi all. Cat fanatic here, who just joined THS as a homeowner but really love the concept of sitting as well. Single mum w. 2 kids who collected a pandemic kitty in 2020 and then adopted a beautiful tabby stray off the street.

Hello @bec and welcome to this wonderful world. I’m sure you’ll be able to sit with your children as well as welcome Housesitters to your home. Despite having done a lot of travelling I’ve yet to go to NY! Maybe one day I’ll come and cat sit for you!

I had a very enjoyable sit last Christmas/New Year in Pleasantville with a dog, 2 cats and a snake. Sort of last minute as my booked sits in the UK were cancelled because of covid issues and I added the US sit about 2 weeks before it started.

Welcome to the TrustedHouseSitters community @bec !!! I too adopted a pandemic rescue pet, It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He’s the most loving doggie. Congrats on your two new kitties, I would love to see pictures of your fur balls. Welcome again!

Wow. I see you are an MVP when it comes to pets. LOL. Pleasantville is about 15 mins from me. Very nice area.

Thanks Julie! Having once owned a purebred cat, I can definitely say that I prefer moggies – and rescuing one makes it even better!! Moonbeam is a 2yo huuuuge boy that I needed all my previous cats to train me to handle! He sheds white and ginger fur with aplomb everywhere, everyday. Lucy is a tabby female who adopted us last year
