Hi, i’m Carole. I have just joined THS, so will be asking lots of questions. Excited to get started.
We have two gorgeous lovable Staffies.
Living in the beautiful Mayenne (France) countryside.
Any tips gratefully received from home owners and house sitters

Hi Carole (AKA @JackOtis) and a very warm welcome to both TrustedHousesitters and the forum. Love to hear that you are excited to get started and be assured the forum team and our helpful members are here to help you and answer any questions you might have.
You can also put a link here in your forum profile to give you some extra exposure among our forum members but I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting applications via your website listing. Your home and “cuddle monsters” look adorable and I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding sitters for your April dates to attend your UK wedding (if we weren’t booked we’d certainly be applying!).
We are heading back to France in a few weeks from a longish UK visit… and looking at your photos made me a little homesick
Welcome again, and please enjoy your time connecting with other members here in the community! All the best, Vanessa

Hi and Welcome Carole👋
I’m new here too. I’ve done house/pet sitting since I was a teenager, and now I’m truly excited to be here to see where it takes me. I wish you the very best in your search, and will be right there too for tips and tricks to learn too. I do hope to make it to France, even though I’m a bit nervous since I dont speak language. I’m still excited to visit it one day, it too looks like such a beautiful country.

Thanks Deb.
I wouldnt worry to much about the language. We have been here for 18 months now. We came with no French what so ever.
You can get by with google translate, the people are amazing. As long as you try!

That’s so wonderful to hear. I do know how to say, “Hello, how are you?” in french, but that is all I know. Otherwise, I say it every once in awhile here, but when someone respond with anything else, they get the confused dog look *head tilt, blank stare
