Wow @Maryse, what an amazing record of all your sits; congratulations
.
Wowzers! 19 times! I think you are the winner ![]()
14 plus 4 booked for this year since we started in 2021. Feels like a second home, great everything and very relaxing. They have already offered to take our dog for when we go to Australia in 2027 for the rugby and we know the deal will be sitting for 2028! ![]()

I have just counted up how many times we looked after our favourite - Bailey the labrador - 31 times.
We met him on another website before THS started - they followed us to THS.
He was 10 months old and we last saw him just before he died aged 14.
He always insisted that his owners asked us if we were free before they booked their holidays and they went away about 3 times a year.
We have a tea towel and a mug with his face on so we still see him every day!!
I am just so awe-inspired when I read stories from sitters who’ve been doing this for so long, & on so many sits. I tend to become friends with my hosts, and often enjoy going back when I can.
Also…I would love to have a copy of your spreadsheet template if you were willing to share it! [amateur geek has entered the building] ![]()

I think after a few times I might have gone off this platform and made a charge! Well I would now anyway!
I’m so glad I am not the only one whose first thought was “Ooh, I’d love a copy of @Maryse spreadsheet template”!
I have sit that I have now done 13 times! I have them penciled for 3 more this year.
So far, our max repeat sit is three times. Perhaps oddly, the sole pet alas passed several months after the first visit. But the homeowners were very keen to have their now no-pet house occupied while they were on overseas adventures.
I only started doing house sitting through the THS website this year. Of the four completed sits from December 2025, I’ve been asked to sit again by three HO’s.
Eight repeats with one cat and three more booked this year. It’s near my hometown in Yorkshire so feels like going home and I get to see old friends.
Yes, it is lovely to return to a favourite sit - getting to know the owners better, knowing the familiar routines with the pets, repeating some favourite dog-walk routes.
(Of course, going to a completely new sit is also fantastic - that’s the beauty of the pet-sitter life!)
Before THS existed, my late husband and I exchanged homes/pets from different parts of the UK with a couple, with a daughter the same age as ours, about 8 times. We met at a campsite with us both owning an old VW campervan, and the conversation started there, with an exchange of keys! ![]()
Since we joined THS many years ago, I think 5 times is our top so far, but we have also sat for homeowners off the site, now we are friends, and that seems to be becoming more popular now that some homeowners are leaving the site, and we will be when our membership ends next year.
We recently did a couple.of sits, and repeats are off site.
How lovely!
Within 6 years we’ve done 15 repeat sits between 6 weeks and 4 months for the same couple at 2 different locations.
About the same for us, but many repeats are not through THS as we are now friends. Some have left THS.
We are on a repeat now, but not through THS. ![]()
I could cope with 2 dobermans but 24 would be tricky
