How long is a sit classified as new?

Hi

I am always looking for another sit to apply for and scroll through the listings maybe every other day or three days. I often see listings that are new but I know I’ve seen them before.
So I wonder if anyone can tell me for how long is a listing considered as new please?

I think Ben said 24 hrs but they seem to be showing much longer than that.
Also if you filter newest sits quite a few do not have the new tab so not easy to differentiate.
