I had a pet owner send me an invite to a pet sit and shortly after the invite she adjusted the dates which then removed the invite from my inbox. We continued to chat about the sit over the next few days and both agreed to the sit. She is new to the platform (as am I) though and moved it to the reviewing applications stage since we were discussing details. Now I am unable to officially apply for the sit/accept the sit since it is in reviewing applications stage. What does she need to do on her end to send this back to me so we can both accept?
Can’t she just decline an application so you can get in and apply?
Also, can’t she invite you privately as another option?

She can send you a private invitation to apply, with the applicable dates. You can then apply, and the host can then send you the sit offer. You then accept and she confirms.
We too had this situation. The HO had to create a new sit and send us a invite.
I’m not sure which is why I am asking. If she has already moved it to reviewing applications can she invite me while it is that stage? If she declines the applications will it move back to accepting applications?
@Barronkr If I read this correctly, that owner has paused their listing and that’s why it says “reviewing applications “. Because you have already had conversations with them, you are able to continue to message each other. Simply message, asking are they still keen for you to sit for them and could they invite you again, this time with the changed dates.

Yes, we’ve been messaging each other and we both have agreed to the sit verbally but since she had moved it to reviewing applications I’m not sure how I can apply as for me it says she is “reviewing applications” so there is not an option for me to apply. On her end, what does she need to do? Does she just need to invite me again? Does she need to decline any existing applications? I let her know that I can’t apply and that she will have to do something on her end but since we are both new neither of us know what that is. I’m hoping she doesn’t have to cancel and recreate.
You do not have to apply again @Barronkr! Just follow what I wrote in my previous comment asking whether she still wants you as her sitter. Providing she has not offered the sit to anyone else, she can invite you as she first must have done but with the new dates.
Thank you! And yes, as noted we had already both agreed to the sit verbally but are struggling with getting this approved in the system officially. She said she has resent the invite to me multiple times but I am not receiving anything. I have also sent an email to support two days ago and no response yet. The sit starts next week so I’m not sure what else to do at this point.
Might be quicker to use the chat function and ask to 'speak to a human" I am sure someone will be able to help sort it out for you.

OMG I didn’t know I could ask for a human with the chat function! I had tried the chat already and it of course was not helpful but did what you recommended and was able to get someone immediately who fixed the situation in the system for us! Yay! Thank you!
