Some people come off aggressive when they aren’t. When I moved to the east coast, I had to develop a thick skin real quick. When my husband moved west, he couldn’t understand why people were so easily offended. All I meant is that first impressions aren’t always what they seem. It was good you didn’t take the sit if you weren’t comfortable, but it would not be fair to portray the HO as something they may not be either.
Fiirst impressions are lasting impressions and sometimes they are what they seem. They can be positive or negative. My impression and experience landed on the negative side. Impressions are valid. They tell you how people choose to present themselves.
It was one HO and fair / not fair–he chose how to present himself with an aggressive tone and constant interruptions. You weren’t there and there is nothing comparable about someone being easily offended, thick skin, or what side of town someone lives-- of how this HO behaved.
Anyone can recognize dysfunction and aggressiveness and he/she can choose if they want to be a part.
I choose NOT.
Then you definitely made the correct choice for yourself!
