Inbox update - June 2024 Release

Good morning @Jenny
Did you see my comment above (7 days ago)?

I am looking at a listing now where I know that I have communicated with the HOs previously. As I cannot see these comments and I cannot see the labels which I must have categorised the listing under, I have no idea what we have both said.
I would like to apply but the owner may have rejected my previous application.

Is there anyway that I can search for my past conversations?
If I can’t then could you please advise the logic to this “improvement”

Thanks

Hi @Itchyfeet

I’ve not had any feedback from the team other than that they were looking into the concerns mentioned on this thread, so right now I can’t give an update.

I’ll pop over a link to your post and ask that they read down these more recent comments, and see if there’s anything they can get back with.

Hi @Jenny
Further to my thread and your response above I would like to advise of my recent experience.
Yesterday I saw a listing which I thought that I may have communicated with the owner before but wasn’t sure.
I decided to apply and started off by saying that I may have applied before but, due to the new Inbox, I was unable to view any previous correspondence. I then continued with my application.
She replied quickly and that must have opened up the full Inbox as I could then see previous communication. I had applied 4 years ago.
This is extremely unprofessional of THS to have us work in such a backword way.
Please can you contact the team again and see where they are up to and also ask them the logic of this “improvement”
Thanks Jenny

Is this the way the inbox will be, then? No ability to search for a member we’ve communicated with, and no ability to see, upon applying for a sit, that i’ve contacted them before? It’s mind-boggling in its ineptness. I can only guess that they’re trying to dissuade long-term/constant sitters from getting new sits (or former sits) as the site just wants new members and the money that come along with that. So disheartening!

Yep, that’s how it is @Jcat33 with no sign of THS taking any notice of this embarrassing “new” feature they have inadvertently created.

Sigh. So disappointing.
