Unfortunately, due to issues with 2FA I wasn’t able to post my sit until Friday last week. My sit is 3 weeks away, 25th February - 6th March. I thought there was a way you could put your sit in something like “last minute sits”? I asked “Frankie” the bot but no help!
I think there is such thing in the discussion forum here. Dunno. On the official platform, your listing will get a “last minute sit” badge when it is soon enough, and that is automatic.
You can only post your listing in the Last Minute category if it’s 7 or less days away, I believe. What you can do is remove your dates briefly then re-post them. This will change the current Low Application label it has to New application.
For some reason, with the small photos of your dogs, they are both of Scrumpy.
@temba I remember it was seven days but recently I noticed on the website that it now shows 10 days. I couldn’t find an equivalent notice on the app. @marsbar, your sit doesn’t qualify for the last-minute section and showing sit dates in your post is against Community Rules.
This means the first pic that is showing on your listing as people scroll HouseSits. You have a lovely pic of the front of your house that should be the “cover photo” for your listing. The duplicate dog pictures are under your “Meet The Pets” section where you can swap pics for Molly. What cutie patooties!
Yes exactly, the house IS MORE important than the pets for the sitters. Which is why I suggested making your House Sit Listing Primary picture of your home. Yours has a pic of your cutie dogs, not your home.
(Listing screenshot removed in line with the Community Rules)
I’m thinking @marsbar it is a glitch by THS where Scrumpy’s photo appears as Molly in the Pets photos as you definitely have a single photo of Molly labelled in your photos. Whatever program THS uses to formulate the listing, it automatically selects photos from what you have used in your listing to create the Pets section as shown in the screenshot I included. So I don’t think you can fix it!
@marsbar, glad that your 2FA challenges have been resolved. Other Forum members have raised ‘last minute sits’ area of THS Forum - no harm in using when applicable. Thought simply add that, provided listing and housesit are reasonably attractive, three weeks should be plenty of time to secure a housesitter. Good luck
