Last number I saw was 140K members in the 2022 Year in Review.
- Has anyone seen a more up-to-date headcount?
- Was there a 2023 year in review published?
I have searched with no luck.
TIA

I have seen 200 000 being mentioned in connection with the 100 million GBP transaction with Mayfair. Yes, it is in the press release: âresponsible for 10 million nights of pet sitting.â
Also: âTrustedHousesitters recorded 158% year-on-year growth in 2022â
Thx. Appreciated.
These numbers are interesting. So since a petsitting night involves two accounts (HO and sitter), that would mean that the average member uses THS only ten nights per year.
Also, that the financial markets value a sit at 10 GBP per night.
And the company at 500 GBP per member.
@Brightlight . THS are using 180,000+ in their latest ads
Thx. Appreciated.
Do THS even know? On their own website one page says 90,000 happy members and another one states 180,000 happy members. Not sure how they account for the unhappy ones ![]()
Thx. Appreciated. Really just looking for ballpark figures. AndâŚdonât they only have happy members
?
Itâs not humans itâs the number of pets on the platform
Oh.
I see a problem there. Financial regulators donât like that kind of ambiguous information.
I wonder how non-active members are accounted for. Someone who doesnât renew their membership is still a member, but in reality wouldnât be available for sitting/hosting. Potentially means that the figures quoted for marketing/investment purposes donât really give an accurate reflection of the situation.
Are they?
Just before my renewal, I asked if I could let it stand by until I started being available again and they told me I would have to start the process all over again and would lose all my reviews.
I will confirm in a couple of daysâ time, but I have definitely let my paid membership lapse in the past, and re-activated it once I was available to sit again. I donât think I ever got a definite answer about how long reviews are kept on file for in this situation, but they were still there when I renewed several months later.
One important thing that I can confirm is that you will lose access to your inbox - including all previous correspondence - once you are no longer a paid member. So if you need contact details eg. personal email addresses/mobile numbers, for anyone you have been in contact with, make sure you make a note of them whilst youâre still a paid member.
Thanks for this information. Very useful. Please, inform the forum if it is still like that.
I now wonder if they wanted to encourage me to keep paying or just that sometimes people in support service donât know all the answers and donât check eitherâŚ
I think that eventually they would have to delete all of your info, including reviews, due to GDPR. But I never managed to find out exactly when âeventuallyâ would be.
Just in case, I will take screen shots of all previous reviews. These could be added as images to my new profile, should I need to create one.
Longer than two years, according to what I have read on this forum.
But I suspect it is indefinitely (until they have a computer meltdown and the database gets corrupted). And one can always demand that oneâs personal information is taken down. This includes the reviews that one has written, but not the star rating.
Previously members have been advised reviews are kept for two years.
I wouldnât trust that to happen.
