Main Website suggestion - sitter profile sharing

Please could developers consider allowing a sitter to Share their own profile details to external apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger etc?

Alternatively or in addition, the the ability to save our profile as a pdf file would be appreciated.

Thanks
Martin

That would be a nice feature.

For now, I just share the link to our profile. Works pretty well.

Hi Kelownagurl
Are you registered as a home owner or sitter?, on my “sitter” profile I cannot find anything to use as a link to send my profile to someone so I’m not sure how you are doing that, please could you post details.

Thanks
Martin

@Martin_S @Kelownagurl I’d like to know how to share a link to my sitter profile too. I tried to do it the other day on here and couldn’t figure out how to. Glad it’s not just me who can’t find it!

Hi @Martin_S if you share the website URL for your preview profile, anyone can open and see it even if they are not a member. Hope that is what you are looking for

Hi Angela
Yes that worked great but for unknowing others it would be helpful to have a “share” icon located within the profile preview somewhere so that the URL share is more obvious :grinning:.

I would still like to see a save profiles as pdf option too if possible.

Thanks
Martin

@Provence thank you, that works for me as a sitter too. I can also see the unique link when I click on my profile in the list.

Someone on this forum asked how to find me on the main website a couple of days ago. I realised then that it would be much easier if my photo was the same on both, so I made them match!

Yes, that’s all I do. I open my profile and share the URL. But agree, not everyone is tech-savvy and a share option is a good idea.

@Angela_L That’s great news actually! For a while the permissions on the sitter profile page made it that someone had to register to see profiles. We were bummed by that update, so we’re very happy to see that it’s reverted back to being public. Thank you! :grinning:

Thank you Martin … Feedback for product … @Ben-ProductManager

Great point, @Martin_S . May I ask you why would you like to be able to save your profile as a pdf file?

Hi Natalia
Just as an alternative option really in case a share button was not compatible with whom you may wish to share it with. Then you could also print it out too and keep a record of your update changes over time. :grinning:

Hi Martin, thanks - I see. On a related note, who do you usually share your profile with and why do you do that?

Sometimes, HO who I have sat for discuss or recommend me as a sitter to non THS members, it is therefore helpful to be able to share my profile with them, I do not accept a sitting unless they then sign up for THS. This helps spread the word about THS too!

The only other sittings I do outside of THS are for personal friends.

That makes sense, thanks @Martin_S !

When I do this and send it to someone it just goes to the main TH website - any suggestions, I’ve tried multiple ways to send my profile but none seem to be working.

Hi @ReneeMc I’m sorry you had issues adding your profile link to your Forum profile, I have done this for you now, the link is live which will allow other community members to “meet” you properly …

Enjoy connecting with our community members and we’d love to know more about your first THS adventure … this is such a lovely comment from your review:

“We loved having Renee look after Monty and Milo, almost as much as they loved her!”

Welcome

Late to the party again
This got me wondering; if I had a Website outside of THS with all my “hey look, I’m a fab sitter” stuff and if I added that link to my THS profile and prospective THS members (so anyone browsing the THS Website with an eye to joining) saw my profile & followed the link…would it be OK to put my “refer a Friend” link on my own Website?
