Meet up in Melbourne, Australia between Aug 10 - Sept 20

Ah bugger. Sorry I’ve got something on Tuesday 22nd. Thursday 24th is good as is following week 29 & 31 Aug.

How awesome. I was looking for catsits in Melbourne but no luck, so I will be at my daughter’s home in Rye for 2 weeks 2nd & 3rd week of Sept.

Enjoy your sit! (I love long sits.)

Hi Karen, Im pretty sure i can make this Tuesday too . Auction rooms sounds nice.

Sorry for the confusion I caused due to my misreading @Mstuart’s earlier comment. Chalk it up to a senior moment

I’m hoping we can find a time that works for everyone. Does the 29th work for you? Is Auction Rooms acceptable?

Yes, I love longer sits, too. We locked this one in last January, and I’m so glad we did. I love Melbourne!

I’m glad to hear you’ll be able spend time with your daughter in Sept. It’s always nice to spend time with family. Where are you now?

Yes, Tues 29 is good for me. Sorry for mucking everyone around. Auction Rooms is good because we can just have coffee, or lunch, and sit for a while. What time would you like to meet? 11?
My husband will come too.

@Mstuart 11am on the 29th at Auction Rooms works for me. @JeanneandPhil and @Myhnabird I hope it works for you both.

That works for us - it’ll be good to meet you all on the 29th!

Great! We’re both looking forward to it. We have itchy feet, it’ll be good to talk to other TH.

Hi @Myhnabird, @JeanneandPhil, @Mstuart. I’m looking foward to meeting you tomorrow! I may be a few minutes late (10-15 minutes at most). I will be wearing a turquoise top, so you should be able to recognize me.

See you tomorrow!

No problem. We’ll get a table big enough for us all - seven of us? See you all tomorrow.

Hi Karen ,

I have woken up feeling unwell and won’t be able to make it today for lunch.
Have a lovely time.
Sorry for the late notice!
Jeanne

Oh, @JeanneandPhil I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. Let’s plan to meet one day/evening when you’re feeling better. You can either reach me here in this thread or via DM. I hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear you aren’t well. Maybe we can meet up another time.

Hi, thank you for your well wishes. I hope todays lunch went well and hope to meet you all next time.
Jeanne

We’re sorry you weren’t able to join us @JeanneandPhil. I hope you’re feeling better.

We had a wonderful time, meeting each other and sharing travel and pet sitting stories. Thanks @Mstuart for getting us organized and for including Kent. @Myhnabird it was lovely meeting you and Matthew.

Is anyone interested in meeting in East Melbourne one weekend day, so @JeanneandPhil can join us?

Hi Karen,
Kent and I enjoyed meeting you all too. We would be happy to meet up in East Melbourne (Roccella is a great little Italian restaurant).
While I’m thinking of it, I can highly recommend a visit to the State Library of Victoria (corner of La Trobe and Swanston Streets in the city). It is a wonderful collection of buildings, now one institution, and has great permanent exhibitions to explore. I used to be a tour guide there and although I havent been for a few years, I know it’s well worth a trip. There are free tours you can book into with tour guides who are up to speed. At a pinch, I could meet you and dig up what’s still in my brain about it!

Thanks for the suggestion @Mstuart. I’ll look into those free tours.

@JeanneandPhil when might you be available to meet in East Melbourne? @Mstuart and I would love to meet you.

Hi @kbyportmelb. I just saw on a different topic that you’re in the Melbourne area. Might you be interested in meeting up with one or more of us in the next few weeks? I’m in the CBD until the 22nd, and there are a few others here who might be interested too. East Melbourne on weekends works best for @JeanneandPhil I believe. @Myhnabird @Mstuart

That would be great! I am in Port Melbourne so CBD is easy for me - as well as St Kilda, Albert Park, Middle Park.

Would any of those locations work for folks?
