Meetup Sat 6 Aug in London at The Smith & Whistle, one of the dog-friendliest bars in London

Following on from yesterday’s fabulous meet-up at the Jugged Hare I have teamed up with @Angela_L to host a lunch time meet-up on Saturday 6th August at The Smith & Whistle in Piccadilly, Mayfair. We would be aiming for 12.30 onwards.

All dogs are welcome. The Smith & Whistle are renowned for being one of the dog-friendliest bars in London. The Smith & Whistle are quite unique for dogs because they actually introduced London’s very first permanent drinks list created entirely for canine consumption.

Rest assured humans are also well fed and watered here too!
They have a very reasonably priced and varied lunch menu as well as some of Britain’s finest draft and bottled craft beers & English wines.

The Smith & Whistle, which is located in the heart of Mayfair, is also just steps away from Green Park so an ideal place to stroll afterwards for anyone bringing their canine companions with them.

A little bit of interesting history for you which is how the Smith & Whistle came to acquire its name. Smith & Whistle is so named thanks to the legendary comic stories of Detective Inspector Smith, and his nemesis, the infamous socialite scoundrel, Mr William Whistle.

I know it is very last minute but we are hopeful there will be some people who would love to attend this event. Could I please ask for anyone who is interested to please let me know on this feed here or DM me, whichever is easier for you, by this Friday 29th because I will need to pay a deposit by this date to hold the reservation for 7 or more in number that will be attending. If you do decide to come after this date, it may still be possible but the sooner I can let them know would be ideal so they can provide appropriate seating due to it being a Saturday during the summer season!

The full address is Smith & Whistle Bar & Terrace, Sheraton Grand London, Park Lane, Piccadilly, London. W1J 7BX.

I have attached some information & menus from their website. Hopefully we will see some of you there! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you @Samox24 for sharing, this looks like the PAWFECT place … I noticed there was a member on the other member meetup thread who missed that get together and who was already in Barnes SW London which is where I am heading tomorrow … hopefully the trains will be running. A return sit … the 9th return over the same number of years and I still can’t remember the Alarm code

It will be great to meet members and please bring a friend two or four legged … the more the merrier. :slightly_smiling_face:

I will have just started a sit on the 5th at Finchley. As I am an international sitter, I am not sure how easy it would be to get to this place. But meeting up would be interesting.

I will try to come but I am a bit far away and I have to ask th HO if I can go and if I can take the dog with me. I will be near Palmers Green and have to figure out aswell how to get to Piccadilly. Would be nice to meet other sitters.

@Anne.323 and @Bravo1239 I use the google map app when we are traveling from/to locations around London. It provides all the different options for transportation, which is extremely helpful when deciding how to navigate around the area.

Thank you @Joanne . I can’t confirm now as I am unsure of how things will be like at the house sit. It would be bad to confirm and then not being able to attend. But if I can get settled, I would just love to drop by and say hello if possible.
