I’m new to the Forum, so thought I would introduce myself as well as ask a question… I am a self-confessed Crazy Cat Lady, and mum of 11 fur babies. This, fortunately, doesn’t seem to have put people of, though, as we have had a number of applicants for or trip away in September…
One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that when I created our profile/listing with each photo of our gang I added a brief description of their personality, which sadly doesn’t seem to appear in my listing. I know it’s not something majorly important; still, I’d like to know why it doesn’t appear with the photos.
Photo captions show in the app but not on the website site. One way to get round this would be to edit your actual photos and put captions on them and then repost them.
Thanks for your response. I’ve looked at my photos in the ‘my pets’ section on the app and all it has is their age, not the descriptions I did when I made the listing. Quite a bit of thought went into describing all 11 of them, so it’s a shame they’re not there.
@catwoman4369 OK, that’s different to what I was talking about. I thought you just meant the photographs on your profile. So I am afraid I cannot help you with this. Sorry, I hope someone else can.
I’ve just had a look at some of my booked sits. This is on the app on my phone.
On the actual listing it only gives the pets name and age if I click on the photos BUT in the welcome guide when I click on the pet images I get lots of information so maybe the info you type in only shows on the welcome guide. Have you created a welcome guide yet?
THS website vs app is inconsistent. Moreover, what you (as the logged in owner of the listing) see vs what another member sees is inconsistent.
In the app I can click on my dog from my listing and see some of the info from my welcome guide there. However I cannot see that pet info on another HO’s listing. And I can’t see it at all (for myself or for others) on the website.
And of course as CathyCat said, captions on photos only show in the app.
The best thing to do is just put any necessary pet information in the dedicated Responsibilities text field.
Why not send to applicants whom you might want to have a video chat with descriptions of each cat? We do that with our dog, describing his habits and foibles. That way the potential sitter has all the information about him and knows before the call what questions they need to ask.
