Stranded Pet Description?

On the App under the Pet section, we originally entered and maintained details about our pets: descriptions, feeding routines and other useful stuff. This information was added a while ago and needs to be updated. Neither on the App nor the Website is that text accessible. Am I missing a secret link somewhere to get to that text or is the description truly stranded?

Also, the pet descriptions on the App are nowhere to be found on the Website.

It’s in your Welcome Guide and for reasons unknown to any sane human that part of your WG is published in the app version of THS but not the web version.

Yes. Of course the pet descriptions are in the welcome guide. No applicants to a sit needs descriptive information about the pets in the house. Silly me.

I have brought this up on the forum numerous times. I have even written the company but if they ever answered back I’ve missed it.

The app and web site are different. When they update or change something on the website it gets whacky in the app.

What I did when something came up years ago, and I think this will apply now: There is no “responsibility” section in the app. In the app you can edit “responsibilities” within the section where you edit for your pets.

In the web page, you can’t write any narrative in the “pets section.” You can write captions on the photos but this has never worked on my none apple laptops or android phones! You can write narrative in the “responsibilities” section, so I have simply labeled a paragraph "PET RESPONSIBILITIES” and labed a paragraph “NON-PET RESPONSIBILITIES.

If you want to change stuff, find it in the app editing sections and probably just delete everything in that section, including photos. And then delete all of those sections in the web page too for good measure and upload what you want on the web page.

I know that sounds nuts, and I am not a pro at this by any means, but this was the only thing I could do that works.

I think the utterly bonkers bit is that we have to solve THS like some kind of old school RPG game.

Thanks to everyone who has already posted and helped point @ontheroadagain in the right direction.

Just to add, the way that a listing’s information is collected is consistent across app and web, and we’re working hard to resolve any inconsistencies in how each platform displays an owner’s content to sitters.

It might be consistent when collected but I know that the problem with phantom pets on the app goes back to an update in 2023. And there are numerous references to this on the forum. It has led to awkward exchanges where sitters have acted like psychics asking homeowners to their horror about long deceased pets.
