Welcome Guide is different on app and website

18 months on THS, 18 sits completed and I have just found out that the Welcome Guide does not have the same information on the app ( which is what I have always used to access it ) as it does on the webpage !!!

I always read the WG thoroughly. Today I asked a host about some information for an upcoming sit. She provided the information but was puzzled as she said that info is in the Welcome Guide .

I re-checked the WG ( on the app) to see what I’d missed - but no that piece of information is definitely not there .

It has just occurred to me to check the WG on the webpage and yes the information is there !

I simultaneously have app open on my phone and webpage on my laptop - some of the information is missing on the app.

We have completed all previous sits with the WG on the app and had no idea that we might be missing information.

Why am I not surprised that the app and webpage differ ? :woman_shrugging:t2:

What was different?

In the home section/ security section there are is a heading and paragraph that is on the webpage but doesn’t appear on the app

Is that a size limit, or is it a specific block in the form chaos? If so, which one?

Good to know. Happily, I’ve been using the website, except when checking whether a host is missing reviews from any previous sitters.

It’s a missing paragraph & heading in the middle of the page.

There is no gap in text on the page , nothing to indicate that there is a missing section. It’s only because the owner said that they had put the information in there , that I checked the webpage.

It’s only by comparing the two that I can see that a whole section of information is missing on the app.

First heading and paragraph is there , last heading and paragraph of information is there - middle section does not appear and is not showing on any other pages either :woman_shrugging:t2:

I would attach a screenshot but it’s to do with the security of the home so I won’t share that information on a public forum.

I just reported the same issue but in reverse. I have info on the App that is missing from the web version.

One more reason for me to keep using my PDF Welcome Guide!

I had 50 sittings in the last two years and didn’t know that until now. But many pet parents dont use the welcome guide anyway. :slight_smile:

In my experience, the first time I open the welcome guide on mobile, it does contain everything. but each subsequent time, a lot of the detail will be missing (while that info is still visible on desktop). I usually screenshot key info like address/entry details and wifi password to ensure no problems on arrival.

I have never read a WG on the app.
So, when I received a WG from a new Home Owner this week, I read both
The website version states there is no cleaner
The app states that the cleaner comes there every 2 weeks

I wonder which version the cleaner reads!!! :rofl:

When I reported the issue 8 months ago , it was obvious from the response I received that they didn’t believe me … and thought that I was the one getting it wrong .

I have written and received a response which just suggests that I contact the owner and ask them to clarify and print off for my arrival.

This is part of their response:

So sometimes the app and site will have different views.
Our tech team is aware of this issue, but there is no timeframe for when it will be fixed.

As usual, tech team not fixing all outstanding problems but designing unwanted changes which don’t improve our experience
