More profile info please

We are previous SIT, but awaiting our first time to be SITTER. Would THS consider including specific info about SITTER accommodation, i.e. double or large bed, en-suite, best for single SITTER.

@Berna first of all, welcome to the forum. You can get answers from seasoned members about most any question or concern you may have.

I think I understand what you are asking…should specific info be on the pet parent profile about bedroom, single or double sit, etc., and yes, this is encouraged to include as much info as possible to make sure a potential sitter knows whether the sit is right for them or not. This info includes pictures of the kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom, etc., as well as pics of the pets. It is also recommended to include info as to whether the sit is suitable for a single, couple or family and what accommodations are available to suit those sitters, whether a car is available for use or not, etc.

I see you have not joined TrustedHousesitters yet, and if you have questions on how to join, please reach out to any member here and we will help as much as we can.

Looking forward to seeing your membership soon!

Debbie, yes we are members since 2017. First as a SIT, and more recently as SITTERS.
WE BELIEVE a SIT should include an area specifically for accommodation. OFTEN its guess work based on photos and sometimes nothing. WE ALWAYS wanted to have our sitters be comfortable…telling them king size bed, private ensuite … then we would ask what weight duvet, how many pillows? It is IMPORTANT for many.

Hello @Berna Thank you for confirming that you are members. You can add a link to your current TrustedHousesitters sitters profile to your forum profile and then other members will be able to see your profile and it is a great way to share tips and feedback on each others profiles and listings. You can also view other forum members listings and as an experienced previous owner give help and feedback.

Here is how to add the link:

Whilst it is good for owners to fully complete their listing, they may not always think of certain things. They also learn as they go when sitters ask them more specific questions and often update their listings when they know these things. So to help them and make sure a listing meets your needs you can always feel free to ask in the application.

Thank you for the valuable feedback. It is really helpful as both previous owners and now sitters to share your knowledge and suggestions for improvements. It is nice to know that you always wanted your sitters to be comfortable
