I agree the rocket icon is not appropriate . As there are no listings for the moon or mars ( yet )
A house or suitcase icon would be better suited .( As not all sits have pets )

Thanks @Silversitters - this feedback is super useful - there will be more opportunities for beta testing in future so anything we can learn from this one can be used as learnings for future opportunities!
I use the app ALL the time. When I withdrew, I just told them to get back to me when they make changes to the app messaging system.
I did submit 5he feedback form.
I submitted a request on the first day to revert to my original inbox. It has not happened. However, since my missing 14 years of messages have returned I have decided to carry on with the test.
Feedback so far:
What has happened to the labels? I label every single entry so I can easily filter and search . I also find it useful for many other reasons. On settings it still states that they are available to use. I cannot use them
When I go into my dashboard to look at my planned sittings, if I click on View Conversation it takes me to the general Inbox so I cannot view it that way. I would have to scroll through the items in my Inbox. Without labels that is not easy.
The old inbox looked crisp and user friendly. The photos on the new system are faint not sharp, the font is too small and the colour grey is too faint.
I cannot see anything on the new system that is better and I am wondering what the intentions are.
I will submit this feedback on the site as well
Hi @Carla & @Jenny my in box is still not back to normal……a few days now since I requested it be reverted. Please can you prod those responsible? Thanks
Hello @Smiley Sorry about that! I will let the team know for you
Thanks @Carla for your quick response. Just hope the team get a move on!
I have submitted an application using the new system too.
I agree with @Silversitters that the test box is too small - for all the same reasons.
I also think the rocket is inappropriate and should be changed to something more related to house or pet sitting.
One anomaly I have noticed is with the status labels on the conversations in the left hand pane of the inbox. If a pet parent invites you to sit, and you reply without applying, the conversation is labelled “Applied to {start date of sit}”. This is confusing as it looks as if I’ve applied for many more sits than I have! Sometimes this status disappears, perhaps if the pet parent withdraws the invitation? However some are still showing with this incorrect status several weeks after the sit I didn’t apply to would have occurred!
I have the same issue as @Debbie . I didn’t realise, but I also have many conversations that state that I applied, whereas I was invited and declined.
Another issue I have just noticed - conversations are now not stated as either “Read” or “Unread” - This is really important and needs fixing.
Well, everything needs fixing
It is a bit tiny, but it does say “Read”:
Edit: Yes, I see it now too, that it is inconsistent. It seems quite random! And I cannot see it in the app.
Thanks, I have checked again.
There is inconsistency - some messages say “Read” in tiny writing as you say.
Some (most) don’t say anything at all.
@Itchyfeet I have just checked too, and you are right about the inconsistency. All my most recent message threads have a tiny “Read” at the bottom of the last message I sent to the homeowner. Then I have several in a row that do not have “Read”, then another several that do.
For any owners trialling the new Inbox functionality, are you now blocked from inviting sitters who are already booked for your dates? Perhaps this could be tested between forum members on the trial as it was very much requested when our input was asked for.
More feedback:
I have applied for 2 sittings today.
The first had 2 sets of dates and I was applying for just one. It took me ages to find the date box to click and then realised it was so faint that I missed it.
So it needs better definition.
The second one did not have a box at all to click on. I then reread this from Jenny:
First five” confusion: You don’t need to rush your application! You can send it once you’re within the application screen, no need to be the first five. When writing an application you can now easily navigate to the listing, which now opens in a new tab so you stay within the application process. Thanks for clarifying, @pietkuip!
This feels weird having no date box to click on, just the narrative box. I wasn’t convinced that I had reserved my place in the first 5.
@Jenny as there is so much wrong with this new programme, I am inclined to ask (again) to be removed. How long will the test last and will the testers revert to the old system?
I have this also.
@Carla or @Jenny PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE hassle the team responsible to get my inbox reverted to how it was originally. I’m still waiting! Wishing I hadn’t signed up now. There should be no excuse for such a delay
Hi @Smiley
I can see that @Carla passed along a note to the team on Friday letting them know you’re still waiting to be removed, but this would have been outwith the team’s working hours, due to the time difference between the UK and the USA.
Now that the team are back in the office (and I’m in the same time zone!) I’ve asked again if they can sort this out for you, and hopefully, I will be able to give you a positive update today.
I’m so sorry you’ve had to wait - Carla and I will do our best to move things along.
Jenny
Thanks @Jenny I know you & @Carla do what you can but have no control over the people responsible for the changes
Hi @temba
This is something that’s being worked on, and we’ll be happy to provide an update when we have more information!
@Smiley That should be you removed from the beta testing now - can you confirm your view has now reverted to normal?
@Itchyfeet The testing is expected to last around six weeks in total, and after the testing, we’ll then be moving all users over to the new system.
The testing is a great opportunity to feed back to the team about your experience with the new system to make sure they can review and make any tweaks wherever possible, so it’d be a shame if you left, but if you prefer to, you can leave the testing using the link I posted further up the thread last week.
Jenny
PS. It’s great that you’re all leaving feedback here, but please also make sure to give your feedback on the form you were provided with, so that it goes directly to the team!
