What is important for me as a sitter are the dates of a sit, not the number of nights. This information is totally unnecessary and useless for me. By adding the number of nights, there are more numbers written next to each other, and it gets harder for me to see the dates because the layout of both is the same. Meaning: If THS decides to keep the number of nights (what it probably will because it doesn’t care what the customers say), then it would be useful to print the dates in bold typo to make them prominent.

Not for me. I, for a change, do not mind that information at all. In fact, I like it.
I like seeing the number of night. With every change some members will like them and others won’t. The new icons for the pets bother me.
Where is this displayed please? I don’t see the # of days either on the THS website, or using the up to date Android app. A screenshot would be very helpful.

While it would not have been anywhere on a list of changes I’d have prioritized, it’s not UN-helpful info, & some people will like it. I think the formatting could be a bit clearer: placing the ‘duration’ within parenthesis would make it easier for the eye of the reader to catch either the date range OR the # of nights — whichever is more pertinent for them.
I personally don’t find the number of nights that helpful of an addition–that isn’t that difficult to figure out on your own-- and it all just looks a bit cluttered.
I also think the version of the animal icons that is still on the app version is better than these new ones. I am curious if they added the text because people complained about them not looking different enough–I personally can easily tell the cats from the dogs but I can see some people thinking the images are not optimal. I think they should use the old icons and drop the text.
Now that they have added text to identify the type of pet, the text and icons are replaced with “# or more” if the sit involves more than two types of pets. I find the solution to be a bigger annoyance than the issue it was trying to fix.
@BeckyOnTheHill, while we are not upset at the #nights data then we don’t regard it as useful information. From experience, we often find that the dates per listing are different to ultimate reality. Sometimes listing dates represent pet parent travel dates; sometimes they include handover day before/after sit; sometimes they are flexible; sometimes sometimes sometimes. Therefore we regard listing dates as a topic to discuss during video call rather than an objective metric of listing.
What I’d really like to see is an icon next to the pet icon that tells you at a glance how many hours the pet can be left alone. That is very valuable information that helps me narrow my search quickly.
