Hey everyone,
I just completed my first sit and today is the last day to leave a reference. Unfortunately, I have not received any notification that the house owner has submitted their reference. I know I can’t read it before but will I get a notification that it has been submitted? I noticed that previous sitters have left her references but she hasn’t at all and actually don’t want to leave one at all if it’s not mutually done. Anyone has some (technical) advice?

Yes, you will get a notification as soon as the HO leaves a review.
You say that this was your first sit? I would send a message to the HO asking for a review and explain that it is important to score future sits.
No review could be interpreted as ‘something was wrong’.
Hi! Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did message and request a review via THS but did not get any answer. The sit itself went smooth and the HO was happy. I’m quite confused if I should still give a reference or not. If I do, it does look one-sided and if something was wrong on my end I guess?

write a reference, you can tell a lot about a person by their reference left for hosts which will potentially help you out on future sits.
Reach out and remind her to do yours…and say that you almost forgot and that today is the last day!
