So if I’m trying to get the $14 monthly fee so I can get started with this app, why when I go to add my card information and check out it’s saying the price is $169???
I am not aware of a monthly fee option but $14/month x 12 months is $168 which is suspiciously close to your final price. Just a guess

I think there was a monthly option as per the Terms and Conditions below.
7.2. Your membership is annual (unless you have chosen the 3-month Pet Parent plan) and you may choose to pay annually or monthly. You will pay the initial Sitter Membership Fee and/or the Pet Parent Membership Fee in the secure payment section of the Platform . Your membership will be automatically activated on that date (“Activation Date” ).
Check with Membership Services as to whether it is still available. I am unsure if the option was only for homeowners or sitters as well.
