I’m a THS member Sitter only with basic tech skills. On my Android phone, when I click on a listing then on “Sitters & Reviews”, I see lists of past sitters, most of whom have stars and reviews, but some with no stars nor reviews. I see “Past Sitter” as a heading, the Sitter Profile photo, their name with “cared for this home” and the past dates of their sit listed underneath their name. I scrolled along to see that they had not already submitted a review for this same sit. When I go to my desk computer and look up a listing on the THS website, only the “Past Sitters” with reviews, appear! The “ghost sitters” are absent. I’m puzzled as to why there is such a difference between my Android phone app and the THS website. If this subject/issue has already been hashed out, I apologize.
Yes, you need the app (android or iphone) to see what sitters did not leave a review.
This may mean that they were reluctant to leave an unfavourable review, for example for fear of retaliation (which was a real problem until very recently). So I do not apply when I see that there were several missing reviews.
But why are these not appearing on the THS website?

@lmhale I have noticed lots of blank/missing reviews on HO side and THsitter side on the app.
If I see a blank review left by a THsitter under the “cared for dates” on the HO listing…I will then click the THsitter profile to see if the HO left a review for the sitter and don’t see the sit listed… .
Not helpful…just an observation.

When I click on the THsitter profile…there is no sit listed for that care for date…? Here is the screen shot for anything close to that date on the sitter profile.
Yes, that really should be fixed. I think both HO and HS profiles should show sits without reviews!
@lmhale It is a well known, and potentially very misleading, difference between the app and the desktop version. On the desk top a sit with no previous sitters could mean the host is a first timer. The same sit viewed on the app could show there were actually several previous sitters none of whom gave feedback which could mean its a horror sit!!
Always use the app when cross referencing!
Yup, it’s the only reason I use the app. Otherwise, I always use the website.
I tend to suspect that it was a programming mistake in the app…
A lot of sitters never leave reviews/“feedback”; I look to see if they left reviews/“feedback” for other HOs/PPs.
Similarly, if a HO/PP has a pattern of not leaving reviews, I’m reluctant to apply b/c it seems they are not appreciative. And, obviously if they ding sitters without explanation, that’s a red flag.
